Here what Our customers have
to say about US.
As an owner of two
vintage aircraft, an ex Navy RC-45J (Beechcraft 18)and a Cessna 195, as well
as a partner in a Cessna 340A I have experienced first hand the breadth
of knowledge, respect for the aircraft and customer, commitment, and
quality that the guys at Talon Aviation bring to their work. The
Beech needed a substantial amount of sheet metal work following a ground loop.
The work performed was first class, done on time, and on budget.
The communication during
repairs, annuals inspection, etc. is very good and the actual invoices are
very close to the quoted amount. I had previously used another General
Aviation Repair Station that I had been very satisfied with but I have found the guys
at Talon to be a cut "above".

In July of
2005, we opened the hanger door at Diamond Point air field. What we found
was a Original 1943 Piper L4. I
had been squirreled way since June of 1984. We purchased the air craft as a
hobby to allow me to get back into aviation from a 23 year hiatus’. But now
what? The last flight was sometime prior to June 1984. As my aviation
experience was only as a pilot I had no idea where to start looking to find
someone who could bring it back to life for me. I was fortunate to have
found an aviation archeologist in the guise of a very talented A/P, Jim
Masura. We spoke on the phone and with all the encouragement of a long time
mechanic he summed it all up.
“No Problem let me look at it..”
Jim
did not even hesitate when I told him the story and that it was at Diamond
point about 2.5 hours away. He was actually very encouraging and looking
forward to working on an older plane
Jim
and Chris Daza
(lead Mechanic)
made the first trip out to look at it. They were actually excited about
getting to work on an older (covered) aircraft. I learned that
Jim has
had a love affair with
mature aircraft ever since he was a kid. They wasted no time in tearing the
old plane down to rebuild and refurbish it.
Talon went from the Tail wheel to the prop to make sure that the aircraft
would meet the rigors of it s new life as a active air show follower. New
engine, struts, cables, tail-wheel, they went through all of it, aware that
I had limited budget and kept me in the know the whole way. Not only did I
find a True Aviation Archeologist, but a lover of older aircraft and a
mentor for what I needed to do and what to expect over the years flying
a
Mature Aircraft,
I
could not have found a better place to put my trust.. It has been well
rewarded over the last 5 years by professionalism, enthusiasm and courtesy.
They have adopted us both and I could not be anymore pleased with the work
they do for me.

Gentlemen:
I would just like to thank you for the great work you
do. This was the
third annual on my Lake LA-4-200 done at your shop.
The work is excellent and fairly priced. Unlike other shops I have dealt
with, your follow-up is in a class by itself.
If you ever need a reference, feel free to use me at any time.
Sincerely,

I
would like to take a chance to thank you and the rest of Talon Aviation.
Most shops do not want to work on amateur built aircraft and those
that do are not generally agreeable to owner’s participation.
Talon Aviation not only allowed me to help but I always felt welcome.
My KR-1 was and continues to be a special challenge.
When I bought the airplane, it had some peculiar problems with some
difficult solutions. Talon Aviation rose to this challenge. The skills and
abilities of your shop have given me the opportunity to both learn my
airplane, and to fly it.
Talon
Aviation is a really unique shop.
I feel very confident in recommending Talon Aviation to anyone,
whether they own an amateur built or factory built airplane.
Thank You for Everything.
